When I was writing about a misty morning in St.Cirq Lapopie yesterday, the photo above on a different day kept coming to mind. I'm not sure who screams "STOP" to my photographer self more regularly; St. Cirq Lapopie, the Chatette and our surroundings, or the Eiffel Tower. No matter. Their communication and the feeling of them pulls me in always.
I'm often asked if I have a "favorite" photo, which is always a difficult question. For some reason, I gravitate to this tiny, stone, structure set in a beautiful field with lavender highlights. I pass this field regularly on my bus rides in to Figeac...it is usually full of Percheron horses. This photo became "Percheron Printemps"-Percheron Spring!
Of course, there is our "Mon Chez Moi"-HOME. Favorite first shots from our early days when I was just getting to know our place.
Incredibly, this month we will be a "WE" for 15 years!
Such a life. A life we're looking forward to returning to and immersing ourselves in all over again very soon.
As you can see, I always come back to St. Cirq Lapopie!
