It is unusual for me to post more than once in a day, but on yesterday's bike ride towards Mount Brun I noticed that the first poppies of the season were beginning to come out along the road. I wasn't prepared to stop then, but today I went back to scoop a couple to scan to share with you. So many of my friends and family love poppies that I just had to squeeze this post in between all the Mélange-ing Magic I'm doing these days. Maybe this will make up for all the posting I won't be doing while I'm in the states this month. We don't have fields of poppies yet. These were found between the train track wall and the road. I got off my bike and parked it on the side to run over and get these. I almost got bumped off by a speeding car and then a speeding bicycle. Then, it was so windy I was afraid all the petals were going to blow off and I'd arrive back at the Chatette with just little black nubs. But, we made it. Hope you enjoy them!
