As I get ready for our celebration, I thought it might be fun to share a little of what I have planned for this evening. Since I believe in "positive reinforcement", anyone (or household) who comes in their overalls will win an award...a new collage calendar full of some of my favorite photos and the International Overalls Award included therein. I also wanted to do a little something in French, so this other collage is framed and hosted on the Irish Coffee bar by none other than Buddy Lee. My friend Kelly Kerr has written a story about our friendship and this place called: "The Overalls of Cadrieu" or "Les Salopettes de Cadrieu" which will be available to my guests in both French and English (special thanks to Kelly for the translated version). So, I think we're about as ready as we're going to be. I didn't run out of overalls photos for my month of celebrating, and for today I wanted to share the photo that I believe best expresses me and how I feel when I'm in my overalls. Happy International Overalls Day-with special wishes to Niels, Maya, Susan, Jodi, Kelly, and many more who I've met through blogging and my love of overalls!
So good to hear from you Maya and Merci-we had a lot of fun over here and my friends surprised me with so many of them in their Overalls! So many wonderful things about this place for me-and yes...I am très grateful! Hope the holidays and 2010 hold all happiness, love, friendship and gratefulness for you and your family-Hope we'll keep in touch-Laury

Laury,
Just now getting the time... and the ability to be back online for more than a few minutes. I feel as if I missed the thrill of Overalls Day, although we did manage to get dressed in our overalls... all three of us. We did share a bottle of French wine in honor of the occasion. Probably should have looked for a beverage from Norway, but... Well, what do they have?
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you look... and comfortable in your bibs. Unfortunately, I have no pics to share. The mother-in-law can't remember which way to turn a camera to take a pic, the hubby can't hold a camera and with casts on both arms I was just about useless. So, I'm looking forward to next year!
Happy holidays to you, you family and friends.
Maya
