Hello everyone and thank you for the warm welcome as guest blogger!
I'm looking forward to guest blogging while Laury is in Germany. Some of my posts will focus on sharing some of my favorite spots in Paris with you. Tom and I discovered this gem, Le Grenier a Pain, in Montmartre on our trip to Paris in January 2006. It's a sweet shop with wonderful breads, pastries, chocolates, and candies. Our timing was off on our last trip in 2007, because we stopped by on a Wednesday and the shop was closed for the day. The bright side, though, pictures of the shop's delightful roll-front door! Do you have a favorite patisserie in Paris? Location: 38 Rue des Abbesses.
Thanks, Anne! I'm looking forward to posting more.

Thanks, Evelyn! I'll have to add Du Pain et des Idees to my list of places to check out on our next trip to Paris.

Hi Kat! Welcome to blogger's world. This is going to be fun having you Laury's blog.Loved the bakery door. I made a pilgrimage in Sept. to the Canal St. Martin area to find the 2008 Best of Paris bakers...Du Pain et des Idees at 34 rue Yves Toudiu. Found it but...it too was closed! Who'd a thought it would be closed on a Saturday.

It was my Louisiana Driver's License...nothing stops us from getting to our chocolate or our pastry!

Ill never forget the special chocolat treat you brought back from Stohrer to our room at the Ibis on our first trip together in 2001...did we cut it with your drivers license or Toms Swiss army knife?!? It was heavenly!

As you already know-I love Stroher's on the Rue Montorgueil in the 2nd Arrondissement-I'll be staying at our tiny Ibis Sacre Coeur on the night before I catch my flight to Frankfurt and then on to Stuttgart...I'm going to go up the butte and look for Le Grenier à Pain! (Or PING-as we say in the Lot) Thanks for posting Kat-I'm psyched.
