I love surprises. I sat down today to post about "Barn Signing Eve" and discovered a huge blog surprise waiting for me. Expect more to come and a huge merci for later this week. But, today and tomorrow belong to the barn who is soon to be our barn...part of our "we"...oui, oui, oui!
I feel like there should be some huge, grand, profound thing to write about the barn. I've been saying all these years that it's ours "in spirit". Everyone agrees that it is meant to be part of us. Tomorrow it will be ours in spirit and in fact. As I've written before, I believe that it is a piece to our puzzle of peace. I ooze when I talk about this barn. Telling my folks about the barn and Raoul and Christelle's offer, my Dad said with a smile: "And once you buy the barn everything will fall into place." My grown up response was: "I believe that Dad." When I really wanted to scream: "Oh yes, Daddy...yes!"
I began our journal/book titled: Laury Bourgeois and Chatette Cadrieu in 2002 with the purchase of the Chatette when we became a we. On May 29, 2006-I added Dali and Sammie cat to the cover page when "we" unknowingly began our lives as full time French girls. Later that year, on October 30, Monsieur Winkelmann arrived at the Chatette from Philippe Jolly's piano atelier in Paris and joined us there too. And so tomorrow...
Thanks Anne-with all this love and support in the room tomorrow, there may not be room for the Notaire!
