Having spent most of yesterday avoiding doing the paperwork for my French Declaration of Income that's due at the end of the month, the barn and the garden were the beneficiaries. Dali and I shared another beautiful, sunshiny day of digging, planting, potting, hanging, cleaning and organizing. I'm planning on spending today out cutting the grass. It took me all of 30 minutes before dinner to figure out my taxes. I have almost all of my figures-and will be doing the dollar to euro conversion dance later this evening. I could kick myself when I do this. I've spent every day the last two weeks thinking that I "should" do my taxes. All that wasted time and mental energy, when I could have just sat down, got them done and set them aside to fully enjoy this wonderful life in France and the new member of our we.
I am having to seriously restrain myself from buying more flowers before I return to the states! The taxes are done...the grass is almost finished and now I want more roses! It seems the more I get, the more I want.

Thought of you as my friend Luc (our Cameroonian/French gardener) came over to tend to our roses this afternoon. beautiful day and Marcos and Luc did the roses justice. I told Luc about your blog and the lovely photos you take of your French country garden. You would adore Luc and he you. I will have to get him to visit your blog.

You're right...I love the little window box full of flowers and color. Or if it's hanging on a door is it called a 'door box?' or a 'Dutch door box since it's on a Dutch door? Off to church/mentoring/Pentecost...I'll email you later!
