Some Monday afternoons after language class, Greg, Christiane and I walk home together. Simone and Auguste's garden at their house, backs up to the road we take. Passing one day while Simone was out, we noticed that their lettuce had jumped the fence and was growing along the road. We screamed, and teased that we might have to come back for lunch one day. This is the same road that Dali and I walk regularly. I've been noticing something between an angel and the Statue of Liberty "in lettuce" hanging from the fence. I laugh each morning, and try to remember the verses that I had to memorize in 5th Grade-"Send me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..." or something like that. Now, every morning when Dal and I pass-I smile at our lady and say "Bonjour". She is waving, don't you think?
Set me loose in the garden center and my imagination runs away with me. I had my list with me this morning when Greg and I went. Did that contain my spending or creative juices from flowing? Absolutely NOT! I already had something in mind for the barn, but then I began to think about lofts, and gates, and openings...color against wood...and so tomorrow I'll share the warmth and easy touches that are coming to the barn petit a petit. Happy Saturday!
Wait till tomorrow...it's just all so perfect!

She's definitely an angel and I think she's waving at me! I'm excited to see color around the barn.
