...OVERALLS! Okay, maybe hot pink is more like it! I just had to share this photo from the catalog of my brand new
overalls. I ordered them on-line from here in France at www.overallwarehouse.com and had them delivered to Mom and Dad in St. Louis. So, in addition to the usual blue denim pair that hangs out in St. Louis waiting for my return, I can add this new pink pair. This means I don't have to bring much back with me in the way of clothes this trip...more room in my sac à dos for all the light, small presents I'm picking up here and there. Mom and Dad actually called me the other day to let me know they had arrived. Mom said: "I don't know Laury, they look pretty big and they are really pink...hot pink!" Knowing that she isn't really crazy about my overalls, she made me smile even bigger when she said:"They got here pretty quick, you could order MORE while you're here if you wanted some!" As much as I believe you can never have enough overalls, I don't look forward to hauling more back with me to France than is absolutely necessary! This is going to be a special pair for me. Although I'm pondering wearing them home on the plane when I return from the states, I purchased them as my "special occasion overalls". This summer we have many special fêtes coming up and I'm planning a very special event of my own for the end of the summer. A very HUGE MERCI to my friend Niels, the Bib Professor, who is my Overalls Role Model and encouraged me to get this pink pair!

Hi laury wow they are bright!! :-) Yes it is a good job you remembered the tip.. wouldn't you have to remove them at the airport or something like that :-)

Mon Dieu Niels-I remembered your comments about wearing overalls through security at the airport just as I wrote I might wear them home. Oh well, guess I'll have to pack them this trip and wear the usual airport security friendly clothes! Thanks for sharing the overalls journey with me!

wow, congratulations ! cannot wait to see them on you and baggy overalls, a little too big, are the best, sort of making them not too fancy !, if you ask me, so they are going to be perfect on you Laury, and Evelyn, if you ask me, I would suggest to start with a simple blue denim ! I'm sure Laury will agree that for most days, well worn blue denim are the thing ! try it, you will not regret ! and Laury, thanks to you, it's my pleasure to share this love of overalls and especially the combination of the raw and the delicate as mentioned in your last post ! and I have also overalls in my Danish farmhouse as well as here, but are you going to try to go through security in the airport wearing overalls ??:)

Only if you want hot pink to be your "first" pair...there is stone under some of that dirt, but I'm not sure how much. I'll keep you posted!

Am I going to have to order some hot pink overalls to keep up with you??? Love, love the sunlight/barn photos. It's so magical in there! I can't tell...is there stone on the floor under all the dirt?
