So, where would you meet and where would you walk with all your friends, Anne?

Well I would have to pre-arrange with all my friends there , for a lunch or coffee meet up ..we would have lots to talk about.. If weather cold but not wet, a walk too.

I think that is a great way to spend 5 hours..

Thanks Evelyn...as you know, I'm more of a right bank girl (as you will discover tomorrow once more) but I'm always open to new things and may have to take this stroll along the left bank. Sounds like lots of new friends to be made!

We, of course, have had this conversation so I am prepared to answer. First, I would walk to the boulevard along the Seine crossing at Pont de la Tournelle. Then thru Ile St. Louis crossing the Seine again to Ile de le Cite I'd pay my respect at the Jewish deportation memorial at the tip of the Ile, stroll thru Square JeanPaul XXIII and on into Notre Dame to light a candle in thanks for even 5 hrs in Paris. Back across the Seine on the Petit Pont for a visit to Shakespeare and Co, my favorite bookstore in the world. Then a quick walk thru Square Rene Viviani to nod 'hello' to le Robinette, the oldest tree in Paris ending up at the Tea Caddy across the rue from the Eglise St. Julian de Paurve. Tea and a pastry, then a brisk walk back to Gare d'Austerlitz. Five hours is definitely enough for a quick taste of Paris!
