Monsieur Heron has become a Saturday regular in my life. Since everything is closed here on Sundays, Saturday is it for doing chores and getting in any necessities to get you through the weekend and sometimes even into the following week. Passing on my way to shop, there he was again. After storing my groceries, I returned with my camera. This past Saturday, I'd decided that we should be old friends by now. I usually keep my distance, but this Saturday I inched a little closer with each shot. He was standing on the wall at the end of the pond...pacing, fluffing up his feathers, and just generally letting us know that he is a beauty and king in this little corner of the world. I'm generally respectful and not one to disturb. I tried to gauge the disturbance level with each step, but as you can see below. I didn't do a very good job. Off he went. I was obviously too close for comfort. Have a great week!
