Mom's birthday weekend started on Friday and went straight through to Sunday. I'd called on Friday. Dad's flowers from Geraldine's Florist in Ferguson arrived while we were on the phone. Mom was so caught up in the beauty of the flowers, that she didn't look at the card until I asked her who they were from. When she read it, I could see Dad smiling from ear to ear through the phone. The man told Mom he had another delivery for her on Saturday-would she be home? They asked me if I'd sent the Saturday delivery, and I said; "No, but I know who did." When I called Saturday evening, Mom had just gotten off of the phone with her friends Jean and Paul Hale. A beautiful crystal ball of sunflowers had been delivered and she wanted to thank them. Paul told her: "You're very welcome Helen, the only problem is that we didn't send them." Mom returned to look at her card again, and discovered that they were from Christiane and Jean-Paul Duponchelle here in Cadrieu. Somehow, in all that excitement and celebration Jean-Paul became Jean and Paul. We were rolling...A very HUGE MERCI to Christiane and Jean-Paul. Mom loved the sunflowers and will be sending a note soon!
