Where do all the rose petals go? Mine had been going into the trash, breaking my heart with every pitching. I have so many. They're so beautiful and aromatic. Thinking that there must be something I could do with them, I got on the net and began searching for projects and uses. Of course, there's rose-mint tea (I'm in the process of drying the mint and the rose petals and we're almost ready); but I found another project that piqued my interest...Rose Petal Mint Body Scrub. Jillee, over at OneGoodThing offered this project from her sister Rebecca's site on CampWander. I had everything I needed except the solid coconut oil, but I found that at the health food store next to the Carrefour in Figeac on Saturday morning. Got home on the 12:30 bus and went to work. From beautiful roses, to beautiful body scrub, what a treat! You don't know whether to just look at it, eat it, or actually use it to exfoliate your skin. I've also discovered that the solid coconut oil alone is incredibly soothing around the eyes, on a sunburned face after excessive gardening, and under your arms and other unmentionables that can get stinky too. Special thanks to Jillee and Rebecca. If someone walks by and you get a heavy waft of coconut...that would be me.
Thanks Evelyn-I'm really pleased with them...I'll let you know how they work after I've tried one. That is if I can bring myself to do it!

They turned out really pretty! They do look good enough to eat.
