Saturday was so much more than just (dare I say just) a fête day for me. It began with a bus trip to Figeac for a mission or two, meeting Susan and Brian to return to their place in Beduer for lunch, an afternoon of paraponters right outside my windows, and then...on to the fête.
After lunch, Susan and Robbie and I had a nice walk over to the Château. Beduer is another one of those towns that I'm usually just passing through, just not on the bus. It was fun to get out and wander around away from the main road. The flowers, the paths, the company and the views were all spectacular. What a treat!
I got home in more than enough time to get ready and head off any last minute problems in preparation for our gobelets selling duties. There's something pretty special about working and getting ready to go when you have a pile of paraponters floating in the sky above you right outside your window!
All of this and still the fête to come! Is it any wonder I needed all of Sunday and part of Monday to recover?
