My unexpected bike ride into Cajarc on Saturday afternoon was filled with pleasant simple pleasures. I easily scooped the forgotten ground meat and sausage at the Intermarche, and then decided to make the circle back past the President and around the town on my way home. Passing the Mini-Prix, I remembered my last visit with the owner who told me my favorite Desiré cookies would be arriving soon. I'm pretty predictable. I had to stop. It was the two bags of cookies I really didn't need, but there was all that room in my backpack! I picked up an Orangina and decided to go and sit by the river before I headed home.
It's not unusual for me to take shots of the Lot in Cajarc, but this was the first time that the bench was availalbe directly under the bridge. I had some fun playing around; observing the boaters, water skiers, campers, passers-by, and breaking into my cookies with my Orangina!
In the past, I've never had my camera with me when I passed the Chapelle de Mariniers but this time I did. Many of these garden plots give a whole new meaning to "gated community"-huge, impressive gates, but very little if any fencing. Maybe St. Marguerite protects the sailors and the gardens. What a Saturday-morning and afternoon blessings!
