My wine bottles and glasses travel and are endlessly and mercilessly photographed. No nook or cranny within walking distance of the Chatette is safe!
It began our first year here with this shot on the right that I took on the covered terrace ledge. The reflections of the sunshine through the deep red, almost black, Cahors wine are always stunning. Then there are the reflections that can be captured on the surface when you least expect it, as I did with the Château when it reflected on the surface of my wine glass when I rested it on the floor of the barn.
On my birthday we played in the barn, rested on the basin, sat beside the river, and by that time I'd had half a bottle of my Château Paillas Pauline present. Up for dinner with Pauline the other evening, I did not bring my own bottle and glass with me. But I did have my camera and had a little fun out on the terrace while she tended to some business. The Château Estaing didn't disappoint me in taste or photo departments. Plus, with a panoramic view of the sun setting on Montbrun and Saujac, it's difficult to go wrong...having photo fun "through" the wine glass!
