Do I need one more walnut? Absolutely not! What I do need is to keep doing the things I love doing here right up to the time we head back to the states on the 22nd. Scooping walnuts up off the traintracks, picking rose hips to make tea, enjoy my "four-legged" family and friends...even cutting the grass! I have no grass in New Orleans. Grass cutting has become therapeutic for me-but not so therapeutic that you'll see me pushing a lawnmower over the cement on Columbus Street.
Marina's here. Walnutting pairs nicely with terrace conversation, photo opportunities and reconnecting face to face that you just can't do over the phone or the net!
It's always fun, huh? You gave me a bottle of your vin de noix and I use it regularly to cook with. There is still a tad left. NO...I'm not renting out my place here in France. This is my home and I don't want anyone else in it. It doesn't matter who it is...I return to broken toilets, broken washing machine, broken dryer...none of which are small ticket items. When we go-I close her up. I want her to be here in as close to the same shape as when I left as she can be. Love Lots, Laury

My favorite pastime! Loved having them hit the car as I drove home from Cahors! One year, we made a walnut wine (vin de noix) - check in my stash to see if there any bottles! Will you be renting out your place?
