New Orleans gardens are special. It doesn't matter if you have grass or not, New Orleanians find ways to pot, hang, dig up bricks, use the fencing, walls and every other nook and cranny to put something pretty and interesting everywhere. Stew and Eric are New Orleans gardeners...maybe even more. With Columbus Street begging for New Orleans gardeners' touches, I am confident that I will have a garden planted with clippings and bulbs from my friends. I expect that between Stew, Eric and Gaynell...Columbus Street will be lush and blooming again in no time. Winter you say? Have no fear...my team of New Orleans gardeners are here who know how to bloom and be green through all seasons! This beautiful angel supervises on Dupre Street-I still have my Girl with the Goose fountain turned planter over on Columbus Street ready and waiting! I'm not sure that I aspire to be a New Orleans Gardener-but it's going to be fun to watch Columbus Street come alive again...and maybe the birth of another New Orleans Gardener in the process!
Somehow I knew you'd forgivei me. I don't envy the travel that lies ahead for you. At least I didn't have to get all my stuff out of the Chatette! Safe journey and celebrate Bodil well...sounds like you and the family are ready for the celebration! Wish I could join you-Love, Laury

sure, sure, you are forgiven for ever !:) it's just me, who more or less only wear overalls, except for the next few days going on flights ! today is my second-last day in Norway as resident ! next time will be in hotel or studio, so I better go back to clean the oven, pack the rest of my stuff, put into my office, yesterday I bought an extra large suitcase to have my things etc. etc. so I bet I pretty much know what you was up to when you left :) and I will arrive to our house on Bodils birthday and our youngest son will come, who went from Denmark to Norway in '96 and now live in Denmark as well, so I think we will all celebrate to be together in Denmark after 17-16 "Norwegian" years ! being a little nationalistic for a day ! and go back to be world citizens on Saturday :) and we are coming next year to enjoy your garden in NO for sure, overall love niels

Oh Niels-I have to confess that at the last minute I had to leave a lot behind...my CDs, some books, and clothes which included my wonderful overalls gift from you. Don't worry-they are on the list for the next return. It was so hard to decide what to bring with me so I opted for the pink ones this time. Hope you'll forgive me-no matter what...you and Bodil are a presence and contributors to the New Orleans garden. Miss you both-any special birthday plans for Bodil's celebration? Love, Laury

and then I suppose you will enjoy your "new" overalls to get a "Round - (the) House" and then I can almost feel that I contribute to the gardening in NO :)
