After yesterday's post, a friend on FB commented: "Born to be in New Orleans!" I wanted to respond, but felt that same old tug that I feel all the time between my life in France and my life in New Orleans. I ended up saying: "And, there is so much to love!"...there is.
I've said before that I felt our return was about so much more than needing to work and be with Dali. I can see now that this is where and when I will learn to bridge, learn to blend, learn to mélange, learn to umbrella, and accept that I am the common denominator no matter where I am in the world. My passions come in many colors. They form incredible rainbows in my life.
This beautiful red passion flower and pal were another side benefit to my "wifi-wandering" in the hood. On my way to Terranova's, I discovered this beauty just around the corner from Stew and Eric's!
I love that you are already thinking fall and International Overalls Day in New Orleans if possible! I would so love to have you and Bodil here and share this part of my life too! It really kind of slipped passed me with everything that was going on in 2012...but now for 2013...I'm ready! Love to you both-Laury

sounds good, despite the long distance, I feel there is a connection ! and yes, I was almost getting worried about your lack of blue overalls in order to be well :) sounds like a good plan and I can imagine pink overalls will work in a Mardi gras city :) Bodil and I have just minutes ago talked about our plans for the late fall, november, being 2 weeks in SF and then down south and eastwards and hopefully see you in NO ! and Bodil is making an apple cake right now with eggs I bought in our village wearing my insulated overalls, since it is again below freezing point and East Siberian wind ! have a nice breathing weekend :) Niels

You are so right Niels-it does make it easier. Feeling a little chance to breathe-just so much to do and so much left till the last minute by others that it is making me crazy...I'm trying to just let go! I have to tell you that I'm thinking about wearing my pink overalls more often till I get another blue pair...it should tone them down a bit! Happy Weekend-Miss you and thinking of you-Laury
