Last year, I submitted a short story I had written to a contest for a Book by Authors publication entitled NEW ORLEANS by New Orleans. I discovered that my story "Trumpeters", one photo and one collage, had been accepted for publication. Had it not been such an insane year, and had I not been waiting for the book to come out; I would have written about all of this sooner. I guess now is the time.
Today's collage is not the one I submitted. I left off the photos of Louie Armstrong and the Neville Brothers because I hadn't taken them myself. The words are my sister, Kat's, and she gave me permission to use them.
