With the Chatette sitting smack dab on the road as it does, neighbors passed by regularly. Some were like clock-work, others were announced by Dali. Most mornings, I knew Auguste was about to pass by with his hunting dog...Dali would announce them long before they made the turn to the road after coming down behind the Chatette. It was always fun to hang out of the window and wave bonjour! Then, there were the mornings when we would meet in the road-Auguste was about half-way and we were on our way home. Of course, there were always the kiss-kiss-kisses, a little talk about the weather and maybe a dead animal or two in our path. Treats of a sweet life in the Lot!
