Where's a drum roll when you need it? The new LLBean backpack was delivered by UPS to Columbus Street yesterday. What a treat...all the reasons I loved my purple backpack for 20 years with a few improvements. You'll find reflecting materials on the straps now, velcro on the inside small pocket to protect all the important stuff you don't want rolling around, and a tiny hole in the top of the same compartment so the earphone connection to your (I guess)-Ipad can be tucked safely inside and you are handsfree, still enjoying your music! That last one isn't important to me, but hey, I'm a dinosaur.
My friends in France have marveled for years that I get so much in this backpack. I never realized until I went to order this new one, that these are school book bags. It now makes sense why they are also exceptional for hauling groceries, etc. I'm sure we'll be making more backpack memories together, but for today...the teacher will be arriving at "school" on her grape jelly bike, sporting her brand new, LLBean, ice blue Sac à Dos...a new era has begun!
