I almost always have my camera in my pocket, or at least very close by. On my way home from a visit at Greg's last summer, I was happy to have the habit.
There are two possible routes for me. I can go up the village road like most normal people, which means I come down the drive and right to the door. Or, I can roll back the green wire fencing at the bottom of his yard beside the church and walk up through his terraced garden. And, I do mean up.
This particular day, I chose to go home through the terraced garden and roll back the fence below. It is breathtaking. It is always beautiful. And I'm sure you can imagine...it doesn't magically appear this way. Greg works very hard.
Happy Sunday from New Orleans, Greg. Thinking flowers and a bit of a garden of my own over here...wish you could come rest your wearies with me and have a kir or two. Miss you!
