More Than Just Overalls Friends

Prior to departing France last October, I was lucky to have been able to stay long enough to get to meet my blogging friend and overalls kindred spirit...Niels Lund and his wife Bodil Kappel. Their visit to the Chatette cemented what I hope will be a life-long friendship for me. It was a visit of quality and kindred spirits. Niels wrote earlier this morning to let me know that Bodil's Mom had passed. He wrote about her with such love and passion, that I am sure she will be celebrated well by friends and family alike. Oh Niels-you are very welcome. More special times lie ahead. I'm so pleased that everything went well for you and Bodil last week. It is so important to "celebrate" the lives of those we love who have passed on. Your description of the celebration tells me much about Bodil's Mom. Hi Laury, Bodil and I are back after a very, very special week, which have been difficult in many ways, but also very beautiful and indeed memorable the rest of our lives. It ended with a veritable party with many generations and a lot of fun just the way Bodil's mother would have enjoyed. It was very special to experience that mourning can be converted to a lively and joyful event with family and friends.
Our trip last year and our visit at you and the Chatette and all the other, was also a very special trip. While there were many tears last week, there were many laughs and smiles last year and both are part of a good life, so I feel privileged of having such a family as we have as well as friends like you, who in so many ways have been supportive for both Bodil and me, people who you can count on in both joy and sorrow, so again thanks for a beautiful post, overall love Niels
