Biking Home Down Chartres Street

At almost 7pm Friday night,the St. Louis Cathedral and the rest of the French Quarter, were quickly becoming bathed in gold. Walking to the bus, I choose Royal Street. For my bike ride home, I chose Chartres.

                                                    As pretty as it was, the pot holes prevent me from choosing it again. The cathedral really captured my eye in the setting sun. (Must have been all that reading I'd been doing about the life of Catalan Architect, Antonio Gaudi!)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
But of course, clothes, shoes and symbols for me and my homes were found not too much further down the street. I made it in the back door at Columbus Street with light to spare.

Great to hear from you as always, Niels. Congrats on your world opera lab! You're right about the clothes...pretty, but not my style anymore. It's still too hot for overalls and will probably be this way at least till the end of September-the whole city sighs by sometime in October when the temperatures and the humidity drop. hi Laury, being back, noy blogging myself, but at least reading your blog :) and all too long belated congratulations with your birthday ! I have just been extremely busy last week with my workshop and opening of my world opera lab, in overalls ! yes ! is it starting to become overalls weather in NO ? I suppose the clothes and shoes in the windows above is not your style and you find your style other places :) love Niels
