By Monday evening, I knew that I wasn't going to have to get to Tulane to teach on Tuesday. I'd already prepped for my morning class and was about to move on to the afternoon class...now, both are going to require re-thinking and replanning with Tuesday's missed material.
Oh, I spent a little time pondering, but quickly decided this might be the day to have some fun with my photos and try out Kat's match box project. This is what I discovered: sizing the adhesive paper is a challenge; smoothing it nicely over the match box can be tricky too; especially, because smoothing over lettering can lead to botching and smearing; and, it helps to take the matches out of the box, flatten it and use the edge as a guide to keep your photo straight. All that said, I discovered that an exacto knife was invaluable as a tool of last resort just in case the photo size wasn't "perfect" or you found a few little cardboard loose edges somewhere. I haven't moved on to anything other than match enclosures yet. I'm actually thinking photo themed gift packages. I'll keep you posted.
The cold continues. I have a new weather concept to add to my vocabulary: "ice pellets". I have a couple of appointments today, and then I'll just see what the rest of today brings.
