During May of 1996, Mom and I spent a week together in Paris. It was only the beginning for me. I still had two more weeks of travel, fun and life-changing experiences ahead...Barcelona, a train strike, Tarascon sur Ariege, Toulouse, Cahors and Tour de Faure.
Mom's favorite was Giverny. It always amazes me that you get such great photos there rain or shine. I've been twice. It's rained both times.
After that trip, Mom made a beautiful quilted collage for me of "Treausured Moments". And, they were.
Hi Pattie-I'm not exactly sure how she did it all. It's actually at home in France. I think I have a picture of it hanging in one of my windows somewhere on one of these storage devices I have with me. I'll see if I can find it. I know that she took photos, xeroxed them, collaged them and then somehow put them on fabric. She's very good with stuff like this. Let me see if I can find out more for you-glad you enjoyed it so much. Take care-Laury

She quilted this? Out of fabric? This is sensational! I have long been interested in fabric transfer, learning to quilt, and making a "journey quilt" of a trip or two. More info, please!
