It's wonderful when your friends and family feed something you love. Mine keep me in journals. And, not just any journals...journals with themes of France and Paris. On February 22, 2014, I began journal #94 in the pretty stamped/Eiffel-Towered journal in the upper right hand corner. It was a gift from my sister, Kat at Christmas. Since then, the beautiful red leather number on the bottom left came from Michel. And, just last week on my ride home from Tulane with Ron, he presented me with the New York Times Paris journal wrapped in these very sweet puppies by Wilson. (Don't the little guys on the bottom look sad compared to the guys on the top?) I particularly love "little happys" for no reason!
Getting ready to hit the road soon, these three journals will come along to back me up on my St. Louis leg of my 4-4-4 plan, with the first carrying me to France. I do have a very special journal waiting for me at the Chatette to back me up there. It's a gift from Niels and Bodil on their visit to the Chatette in September of 2012, as Dali, Sam and I, were getting ready to depart for the states. Journal gifts are special. Each day I write, I find myself thinking about the person who made the gift. It makes it all even more fun and meaningful.
