I love big-nosed dogs. Is it any surprise that the surrogate pooch I've chosen in my neighborhood to be my lovey girl fits that bill?
Whenever I can, I find my way home down Ponce de Leon to see if my sweet Lucy dog is out. I've learned to call her and look in the parked golf-cart, where you can sometimes see just her fabulous big, white speckled paws hanging out! Since I last wrote about Lucy, I've met her owner and sent him a copy of the blog post I originally wrote about her. I've also discovered that Lucy has a fan club. Stopping after a Canseco's run the other day, a fellow shopper also stopped and we talked about how wonderful Lucy is. I'm still not sure why, but he calls her "Strawberry Fields".
I so miss Dali, and having a dog in my life. Lucy helps fill that void. She cheers me up. She's always happy to see me. But the best, she showers me with kisses. I love Lucy!
