Our day at the beach began on the road with a pit-stop at the Waffle House in Gulfport for breakfast, and a noonish arrival at the Santa Rosa Island National Seashore.
The temperature when we arrived was 49 degrees, and eventually got to about 51. (We'd been promised 61.) After a quick, windblown run to the water and back, wishing I'd brought my earmuffs and my gloves; Ron and I decided to just find a nice spot inside on the water and enjoy the beach from there. Even though it looked closed...The Dock turned out to be a great spot for inside out watching and running out for photos from time to time. The Irish Coffees didn't hurt either.
It's amazing what a day at the beach can do for you, no matter what the weather! As youcan see...pretty, pretty, pretty and just a bit peaceful! Happy Saturday!
