"A" is for April and Azaleas

 

It's as if as soon as this "A" month appeared...so did the blooming azaleas. Tulane's campus, the uptown neighborhood, and all over the city are decked in the spectacular pastels everywhere. I've been writing about how I will miss the ancient oaks on Tulane's campus, as we move downtown. I realized yesterday, I'm going to have to add the azaleas too. Yesterday's pairing of the azaleas and the ancient oaks all over campus...magic! Much like lace and stone, the delicate flowers and the strong, huge oaks remind me of the extremes in life, the value of both, and how important it is to work to find the balance.
