This might look like a plain velvet bag to you, but it holds my heart and carries the love of friends and family. It holds our Dali's ashes and was made for us by Steward.
Bringing our Dal home is important to me. I still haven't figured out exactly what we're going to do, but that's not important. Like everything else in our lives in the Lot; it will come slowly, easily, sweetly, and, I will have the time to feel it and savor it so I trust it will be just the right thing for us.
Stew did so much more than make the bag. I hadn't been able to open the box. I cried everytime I thought about it. So, I carried Dali over to Stew just the same way she returned to me a year ago this month. Stew opened the box. He put her ashes in the bag for me. And handed her and the empty box back to me all ready to go. I am blessed. My friends know me well. So yesterday, I felt her ashes in my hands for the first time. I took a peek in the bag. I gave her a little pet, and set her on the table next to the Eiffel Tower lamp. We're ready.
I can't begin to thank Stew enough for making this even more special for Dali, Sammie Cat, and I. The love of friends and family is so important in times like these. We are ready!
