Yesterday was a big day around here for me. As I've written earlier, I'd put a lot of things off that I would have normally done already because there was a real possibility that I'd have to return to St. Louis earlier. I was already moving a little slowly and taking things a step at a time, but moving the ladder back out to the barn felt huge. As you can see above, the ladder began it's day in the corner of the living room, where it has been since we left in October, 2012.
Our trek together went something like this:
Although it is large and heavy (I have another twice as big-very unwieldy), I've managed to move it on my own regularly. It really is beautiful in both places, but the barn is home. The light on the ladder is magic. It takes us up to somewhere higher in the barn, not just leaning against the wall and looking pretty. In the barn, it is beautiful and it has a purpose.
Our loft was lonely up there.
The barn is happy. The flowering is beginning. The views are incredible...WE are making our way back!
Thanks, Niels...you know I do too! There's just something about these old wooden ladders. The open air ballet with a picnic sounds fabulous-Have fun-Love, Laury and Sammie Cat
