When I saw yesterday's red lock on the bridge; I immediately thought Paris. Looking over the side, I saw this red cayak parked beside the girders. Hmmm, red lock-red cayak-maybe they are a pair?
I'd forgotten that the City recently passed an ordinance that you are forbidden to tie your boats, cayaks, and canoes to the side of Bayou St. John for over 24 hours.
Evidently, it is being enforced. The bank around the bayou was totally clear, but I did find a couple of "floaters" tied up under the bridge. I miss the boats. I got a lot of beautiful shots in the mornings and throughout the day. But, I'm sure the residents are much happier.
