Having friends and family visit New Orleans is always a treat for me. This time, my cousin Susan drove over from Columbia, TN for a couple of days. My intention was to do what I've jokingly begun to call: "The Pat and Graeme Tour."
Being "family" made a difference though. Sue hadn't seen my brother Tom since my parents' 50th so, we headed uptown. Although we mostly visited with Tom at his house, we did wander a bit to Audubon Park, drove by Dad's childhood home, and took a short stroll up St. Charles Avenue.
As we were walking back to the car, Tom said: "St. Charles Avenue is the street I love most in the world." I thought about the extremes of places and loving a street or a spot that much. Hmmm, food for thought!
Do you have a place you could say you "love most in the world?"
Thanks, Pat. It's funny. Old Tom really made me think when he said that. Knowing me as you and Graeme do, you might be able to guess the one that is the only one for me. Of course, it must be in a category of "like" subjects...streets, bars, restaurants, and on and on. I'll blog about mine soon and you can tell me if you guessed it! Love, Moi
