Sometimes it's just not possible to be together, even though you want to be. Before the piano was even unloaded, Brian handed me a brown bag through the passenger window of the truck. Yes! Homegrown tomatoes from Kate's garden. I'd mentioned the menu for the thank you dinner that evening, so they couldn't have arrived at a better time. It was a great way to have Kate with us in spirit.
There was one very interesting guy in the bunch. I asked Kate about it and she said this was her favorite variety, an heirloom variety called "Cherokee Purple." He was colorful, artistic looking and very tasty! What a treat! Thanks again to Kate and Brian for all they did to make this piano homecoming possible!
