I began to write here that I'm tumbling back into old routines, and then I saw the Nook under that cup of coffee on the fireplace.
Yes, I am here with a Nook and a Smartphone this trip.
And, I am actually working here two days a week providing on-line face-to-face remote supervision to my lincensing supervisees back in New Orleans.
It feels different and,
It can be amazing.
But then, I'm out early in the morning darkness; sometimes because I can't sleep and sometimes because I don't want to miss that spectacular star-filled sky that is moving and bursting everywhere around me.
I walk down the middle of the white line in the road in front of the house with my coffee in my hand. I enjoy looking into the windows of the Chatette, glowing and smiling in the darkness. The tunnel and the doors to the lower terrace are all of a different and surreal glow and even those billions of buddleias can be at their best in the dark.
This morning it hit me...
The only sound I could hear was my footsteps on the road.
I am here.
