Although it's been officially fall for almost a week, it's one of the seasons that I miss most when I'm in New Orleans.
Yesterday was the first day that you could feel that it was getting cooler. By cooler I mean, under 90degrees and 100% humidity. And, everyone mentions it when you see them out on the street.
I am spoiled for fall in Cadrieu.
It's not just the beauty I miss. I miss the FUN of fall and all it brings. There will be rosehips to pick so I can begin the process for making rosehips tea. Then of course, there's the walnut gathering along the traintracks. And, last but not least are the pumpkin/regional still lifes and carvings. In Cadrieu, I live in fall and savor it.
So today, I offer a little fall tease. It's as close as I'm going to get until this time next year when I'll be out there picking rose hips, gathering walnuts, composing still lifes, carving pumpkins and soaking up the beauty and magic of fall and my life along the Lot.
ENJOY!
