Getting ready for visitors at the Chatette is always fun when friends are coming from the states or elsewhere. I wonder how much fun it would be if I were actually offering the two upstairs rooms as Bed and Breakfast opportunities? All of these shots were taken before Russ and Angela Carll arrived in 2014.
These two shots above and to the right are of the "private" room that can be available. It is huge, beamed, and has a floor to ceiling french door window that looks out on the Lot River.
This next set of shots above and to the left is of the "loft bedroom" that is not private. It is huge, beamed, and has a floor to ceiling french door window that looks out to the Lot River.
It is much brighter than the private room, since there is also a side window and a skylight over the stair case leading to the second floor.
You'll find a foyer between these two bedrooms with a full bath to the left that also houses the washer and dryer.
Although I have a listing with AIRBNB, it is inactive at the moment.
I'm still sorting out what I may want to do upstairs to make the space a little more "interesting"-as my French friends might say. The foyer could easily become a kitchenette with a small frigo, coffee pot, and microwave.
It might be nice to have a place to store midnight snacks, wine, cheese, baguettes and morning coffee if you didn't want to come downstairs for your petit dejeuner at the table above or join me out on the terrace. Hmmm...
...maybe I'm more ready than I think!
Special thanks to Pat Bruce for these shots of me on the terrace this summer.
Incredible that it's been that long, huh? Where did the time go? I so loved having you and Bodil there with us. We will be doing it again...AND, I'm going to make it to Denmark! Love to you both-Laury
