That Sammie Cat! She's such a spirit lifter and moral supporter in the midst of the insanity that we are experiencing.
She's by my side while I call the
Louisiana Delegation!
She's in my lap or on my knee while I begin my postcard campaign so we can be sure that our issues are on the table and our views and experiences are expressed in DC!
My goal is to send some every day-Yesterday, I wrote 8. At this rate, that roll of 100 (very pretty) seashell stamps is going to go in a hurry! But, it's important.
Some days we're energized. We know we can make a difference.
Other days, the color fades.
Is this just useless energy and motion?
Those days, I go to my book. Those days Sam burrows way "down under." The color escapes us. We fade to black and white (and sometimes sepia).
But, even in the fading; we rally our energy and our commitment.
We refresh, restore, rejuvenate and re-energize! We think of our family and friends at home and around the world. We think of our oh so large and loving life that we have had the great fortune to lead...a life of open arms to the world.
We burn the candle of St. Therese of LIsieux in gratefulness for all of this! We say our HUGE MERCI!
And, we are ready to go again!
