Last night, the Bunch Club celebrated 100 years with its annual Carnival Dance. Since I've been back in the states, I've made 3 of the last 4 carnival dances with Barbara, Mike and John. I rarely do formal and decided to treat myself to a new dress AND a floor length black velvet hooded cape for the evening. As luck would have it...it was warm, but I lugged that cape along with me anyway.
Mike arrived ready to go.
And, the fun just kept on coming.
Barbara, Carmen and I held down the table, but did have a few moments of being dancing girls. It just seemed like Mike danced his way through the evening...kind of like he lives his life!
It wasn't easy to capture John during the tableau, but I squeezed one in at a distance. Someone was on the "wrong" side of the room!
We had some fun oggling all of the beautiful ball gowns.
It was fun to see old friends.
And, I survived a night that started when I'm usually already asleep and ended when I'm usually getting up.
We're just dancing our way into
Mardi Gras!
