Last night and this morning, Sammie Cat and I were on a mission. She is much more interested in craft materials and tissue paper than moons, but she kept her eye on me last night out in the back yard and this morning out in front of the house. Pure, blind dumb luck; I discovered this morning that last night was the best time to catch the Snow Moon.
I was out there in the back yard running arond like a crazy woman trying for different shots between just the right times. At bed time, the moon is behind the house and in the morning when I get up it's out in front.
These first three shots were my favorites from last night.
This morning the clouds gave this snow moon added charm and beauty.
What a wonderful beacon on Columbus Street!
I have to confess that even though the evening shots were taken at the "right time", these morning shots really are my favorites! No comet for us, but hey...talk about needing to be at the right place at the right time. We're grateful for some solar eclipse and a snow moon!
Happy Saturday!
