One of the things I've come to enjoy in "the hood" is the morning after Endymion rides. The route is very close to home, so I usually get on my bike and wander around in the hood to see what the "aftermath" of the parade looks like. Even though I was on the hunt for remnants of parade shots, I found some other wonderful surprises along the way.
The TULPS are here...
...planted and blooming beautifully on the edge of the Big Lake!
Join me for a respite at a favorite concrete bench surrounded by blooming azeleas...
...and a morning sun blasting through the limbs and leaves of this ancient oak.
Today is Lundi Gras. I think I'll leave the Mardi Gras Madness until tomorrow, to soak in the beauty of the tulips and azaleas with the majesty of the ancient oaks today.
Wishing you a very Happy Lundi Gras...
...with a tiny tomorrow tease!
