Sam knows. Tomorrow we'll begin our sojourn north. I pick up the rental car around noon and we begin (as usual) with a night at Mahogany Oaks with Mike and John.
Sam stays with her Uncles and then Friday morning I'll keep driving on up to St. Louis and a weekend with Dad.
I'd planned this trip and other activities surrounding it back when I thought I'd be heading to Cadrieu at the end of THIS month. You know the rest of that story.
I'd set some goals to be accomplished before we headed north: taxes; crafty hand-made gifts, trying out a new recipe. and doing Mardi Gras my way. I read a couple of books, got some great shots in and around Columbus Street, and just generally enjoyed being home and feelng "complete!"
My way yesterday was in my pajamas! BUT-EVERYTHING got done.
It was important to me to leave on this trip with nothing hanging over my head. I want to be able to enjoy this short time with Dad and Kat and Tom before heading home to Cadrieu in the next month or two.
It isn't unusual to hear around here: "I'll get around to that AFTER Mardi Gras!" But, we're done and...
...Sammie Cat and I are ready to roll!
