I'm not the only one who wakes up earlier than usual these days in a bit of a travel tizzy!
Even Sam has Paris on her mind!
She's no dummy. She knows that once we get to Paris, the worst part of our journey home is over. We still have hotel for the night and the train and the bus in the morning, but she's fine. She's done this before!
Sometimes I think she looks forward to home as much or more than I do.
As you can see, one of her favorite things to do is enjoy her view of Paris from the window of our hotel. She's out of her carrier for the first time since we began our journey. All those green trees and fresh air make us both happy.
With our microchip crisis, I haven't booked our train or our hotel yet. That's on the list for sure. I was telling Dad that once we arrive in Paris and get settled, I'll walk over to the Gare d'Austerlitz and get Sam's ticket. Last time it was 7 euros. Dad teased: "a euro for each pound!" Which, is exactly correct for my very light girl.
We'll catch the morning train home to the Gare de Cahors, where we'll catch the country bus home to Cadrieu.
For now, it's our ritual. Although we could easily get a ride home from Cahors with friends, I love the bus and I always need to reconnect with the Chatette on my own. There's just something about coming around that bend from the bus stop...et voila!
