Although Gaston and I had walked with Lianne and Gentil part of the cemetery road the day of their arrival, yesterday was our first day on our own in Cadrieu. I'm tryng to stay off the road for now, so we wandered up through the village to the mail box at the Mairie to mail a card for Dad.
Gaston had fun exploring the neighborhood excitement. The Chateau and the resevoir below that leads to the lavoir are always points of interest.
Further on you have the poubelle, but our guy chose the iris.
Up and back, the Chateau and the village against the moody morning sky with Saujac in the background, reminded me of the first time I saw Cadrieu and my journey to this place of my heart.
Gaston scoped out home from on high.
And pretty soon, he was keeping me company while I journaled.
Happy Sunday to All!-I should add that as I write, Sam is purring peacefully on my lap and Gaston is snoozing in the bed. We are easing in to comfortable and I think that Sam has forgiven me. She knows that there's enough love for both of them, and she'll always be the QUEEN!
