All I can say is that the pet and travel gods were with us on this trip! After all the issues we had with Sammie Cat's travel authorization related to her chip, not a soul along the way asked to see any of her paperwork OR asked me to whip out our new handy dandy microchip reader scanner. BUT, we were ready if they did.
For a little extra we got into our room early in Paris and got an upgraded room. We had a perfect seat on the train home...facing the direction we were heading, a seat all for Sam all the way from Paris to Cahors, close to the toilettes, AND we arrived in way enough time to catch the 1:25 bus home. We were at the Chatette yesterday afternoon close to 3:30...only because I was walking so slow by that point.
There's nothing like coming around the bend and seeing home! We are a bit over grown and a little jungleish at the moment, but we have time.
We got in the front door. I opened Sam's carrier and took off her jingly collar. She was off and running to claim her territory once more.
As I've said before, I am blessed with amazing friends on both sides of the pond. All I had to do was open the door and I had electricity on, water on, hot water, a working phone, internet AND nibbles.
HUGE MERCI to Christiane, Patrick and Evelyn for making these re-entries as easy on me as they can be.
We are here.
The roses are blooming.
Monsieur Winkelmann was waiting.
The snails are all over the terrace.
The moon appeared over the Lot.
All is right with our world.
Me too, Larry...it is so good to be home! Sam is in her favorite spot-sitting on top of the CD player looking out of the window above the evier! We are happy girls-so great to see you before I left-Love, Laury and Sam

You'd have loved seeing Sam stand up to that guy even from inside her carrier. I know she'll hold her ground when Gaston arrives too. She is reclaiming her territory here and is just so happy to be home...we both are- Lots of adventures in the jungle-I think my first will be to go out and tie up the roses since they are tumbling everywhere-Lots of Love to you and Bodil-Laury and Sam
