With big changes to the midday summer bus schedule this year, I am left with too much or not enough time to do what I usually need to do on my journeys on both ends of the Cahors/Figeac route. Since the Pont Valentre is off my usual path in Cahors, I made a date for as soon as I got off the bus since I had more time. Et voila!
Just barely 8am, there were no tourists there yet.
What wonderful alone quality time with the pont!
I really enjoyed:
the wander; new angles; both sides; both ends; reflections;
patterns;
textures;
watching residents cross their way into Cahors for work;
and, just generally pondering what it is like to have something so beautiful and historic in the midst of your every day life.
And then, there's a little devilment thrown in for good measure!
