Rarely do I stray far from the Chatette and rarely do I eat hamburgers and hot dogs out. Last week was a different story. It began on Tuesday in Ceneviere at Le Paradou (Paradise in L'Occitan), continued at the McDonald's in Villefranche on "International Hot Dog Day," and, ended at Le Palais in Cahors on Friday.
Three days-two hamburgers (steak hache et frites) and one hot dog. Those of you who know me well, know that ketchup is an essential.
Fortunately, the Paradou provided a bottle of ketchup for the table. McDonald's and Le Palais provided packets, better know as "sachets" en francais. With hamburgers and a huge pile of fries, there are never enough sachets for me. Jane and I managed at McDonald's, but I caused quite a stir at the Palais in Cahors with Clare.
We giggled over our meager 2 sachets on the table and asked for more more than once! Everyone was very nice, but eventually they brought me a whole plate of sachets.
I'd just been to the Casino to grocery shop and had a whole bottle of Heinz in my backpack, but I resisted pulling it out. And you'll notice, I did NOT use every single sachet.
Happy Tuesday!
