I've been forced to take a look at what is truly realistic for the vernissage this year. Once I decided to focus on the cave only, everything became much more enjoyable. Meeting with village artists, cleaning the cave, re-excavating the lower terrace have become fun. Fun in that I'm not rushing through and am able to enjoy the process of loving on and touching this place again.
I will miss having the barn as part of the festivities, but the amount of work it would have taken for that to happen was monstrous.
I often have to remind myself that this is NOT a race. There isn't anyone else involved, but me! Once I do, I seem to be able to regroup, let go, and enjoy the ride. None of which are easy for me, but seem to be easier here. Now, I have a goal that is realistic, in sight, and I can enjoy doing along the way!
All it takes is dancing diamonds and stone that speaks.
This place is magic!
Happy Thursday!
These last three shots were taken of the enrance to the cave, the door to the tunnel, and the lower terrace prior to the 2011 Vernissage! I have a GOAL!
