One of the ways I know that I am truly back in the flow of this life in Cadrieu, is the desire to write snail mail more often and to make special homemade cards for loved ones' birthdays. This week is a big one-three birthdays in a row starting today. Fortunately, I got a head start on production and mailing this time around so I'm hoping we won't be thwarted by Quatorze Juillet in between.
In addition to collage cards, I hadn't made one of my window/door cards for Mike yet. I like to use images from my favorite magazine Art & Decoration. I exacto knife windows and doors, or in this case picture frames, and put photos of friends and loved ones behind them...just pull the ribbon, et voila! I know Mike has already received the card above so it's safe to share.
Three cards were mailed at the post box at the Mairie here in Cadrieu. The next day I took a package and another card in to mail in Figeac-so far, as far as I know only Mike has received his package and this card that were mailed from Figeac. Postal experiments intrigue me.
Joyeux anniversaire to my birthday gang! You know who you are-Let's just hope your cards get there before Christmas.
Happy Friday!
